Hi everyone, I am quite new here and new to the puffer world. As of now, I have a GSP in an 80gal tank with some gobies and livebearers (aka guppies and mollies) and he is doing a wonderful job controlling the population *lol*
Anyways, I picked up basically all the stuff I need for his tank.
Here are the specs of what I have:
30gal tank 30inches long
whisper 3 power filter (good for tank 20-60 gallons)
a 300w heater
elite air pump - dont' remember the model number

also i have not quite a full 5gal bucket of tahitian black moon sand and about 4lbs of crushed coral.

we still have to find a light and some decor for the tank.

here's a pic of Verde when we first got him. He now has a very nice round belly. He has a continuous supply of snails to pick at whenever he wants. We tried getting them all out before, but it was pretty much impossibly. I'd scoop them out, but them in a smaller tank. the next morning therre would be like 50 more.

anyways if anyone has an comments/suggestions for me please post them! Like I said I'm very new to keeping puffers and could use all the help/advice i could get!

yes im totally doing a fishless cycle for him. i dont think its right to throw a fish in a tank when its not cycled. but i just posted a thread i'm concerned about the other fish in my tank. hopefully i can get some advice on it. i'll post the link in a minute.

I'm getting a heater on sunday. the one i had stopped working. and then all i need is decorations. oh and i'm using a clip on desk lamp until i can find a cheap fixture. i have clipped on a shelf above the tank.
