What kind of fish is this?

Flame dwarf gourami.

It's a Sunset Gourami. And AFAIK that's a color variation of dwarf gourami. I have seen that color variation labelled as honey gourami, but I am pretty sure that they are dwarfs. Beautiful fishes, but often bring illnesses with them. Be sure to quarantine them for a while, before releasing them into a tank with other fishes. They are said to be an easy fish to keep, but in my experience they are not that easy. They are sensitive to the water quality, so you need to do frequent water changes.

Isn't the Sunset (Homey) gourami more gold?

There are numerous variations on the naming on the dwarf Gourami color variants. It is close to a coin toss.

I very very strongly agree withTroender on the hazards of these fish. They are notorious for bringing in highly infectious antibiotc-resistant diseases which can - after some extended lag time, - wipe out a tank. I will never again keep any of these fish unless they are locally bred by a breeder whom I know personally. And then i would keep them in indefinite QT.

thanks, it seriously helped. i got her for my B-day , which is why i didn't know what she was.(after the ARS incident i have been very careful)

I think Troender probably means to watch out for signs of internal parasites or any thing that makes the fish appear unwell. Obviously you don't want to put a sick fish in with your healthy ones and then have them become ill too.

a sting of pearls poop and or white stringy feces.

But either could be a heavy slime coat on the fish (like fish diarrhea). When we see this we assume the worst and treat for internal parasites.

Always better to be safe.
