Hi, Whats the best way to transport LR?
Is it best to keep it submerged in its tank water in buckets or wrapped in wet towels or someother way?

How long will it last till I get it home?

and whats the best way to have the tank ready for the live rock?

Cheers

definitely not in the tank. It could slide around and crack the glass. A bucket of water, or a cooler with some water but mostly wet towels, paper towels or even wet newspaper should be ideal.

your other questions: I have no idea.. someone who knows better can chime in ;)

Is it cured? If so, keep submerged in the water you get it from in a bucket or other suitable container. If it needs cured use a bucket or foam cooler or even a box lined with a plastic bag and cover it with newspaper or towels soaked in the water it came from.

Yes it is cured, its from a tank that is beeing closed down.
I will be getting around 40kg, it's for a 450 ltr tank.
I've got plenty of buckets, some with lids, not sure if the LR needs to be totaly submerged in water, or in just a little bit of water in the bucket, or just wrapped in wet towels/paper.

Is it best to put the sand in the tank first, or put the rock in first then the sand, and whats the best depth of sand to use?

If you don't have the base rocks firmly on the glass before you add the sand, they will eventually start sinking into the sand & the ones above them will topple--sometimes on top of your fish.
