I ran out to the store, and searched for aquarium sealant to start my rock structure project. My LFS did not have any aquarium sealant, and just said, "we might be able to get some in next week, have to wait for the boss to order it." That doesn't help.... So this morning I went to another place, and they had all kinds of sealants... however, nothing that says "Aquarium Safe." There were LOTS of tubes that said "NOT Aquarium Safe"... and finally came across ColorPlace, Clear All-Purpose Silicone Sealant. It doesn't indicate it is NOT aquarium safe, but I'm scared to just jump right in and use it. Of course, I tried calling it's 1-800 number, but nobody there to answer questions until Monday.
I could list what it says under ingredients if that helps? Just wondering if it's safe to use!

Many silicone sealants have materials toxic to molds, which is handy for tubs and showers but potentially deadly for fish.
Silicone is poor for holding rocks - gravel is oK, bit it does not have enough binding strength for most rockwork. Epoxy putty is many-fold superior. I use Two Little Fisheis brand myself.

For future reference Loctite silicone specifically states that it is also aquarium safe. I bought a tube at Lowe's a while back and it's cheaper than pet store silicone.
