I have heard that SA Puffers can be kept with DPs. Has anyone had any success doing this?

I currently have 3 DPs in a 29g that is well planted with lots of rocks and caves and would love to add a SA Puffer.

I have no experience with that pairing. I do know that SA puffs will get much larger than the dwarfs - that makes me worry a little.

I paired an Irrubesco with some dwarfs and that situation was great - mind you they were similar in size.

Generally, we advise to not mix puffers...but some people have had success with different scenarios...I've not heard about this particular pairing though.

Worse comes to worse, you try it and it doesn't work and you have to remove the SA puffer to another tank or return it to the store.

Please, no SA puffers with dwarf puffers.

SA puffer should be no problem for Dwarf puffer, but it is the other way round. Dwarf puffers will bite SA puffers fins for sure...
