Is this really the name for it? I have never seen one like this. But also I havent seen or heard of alot of them

I would guess that puffer is a type of dogface .... but that's just my guess.

One looks like a masked puffer, other.. IDK?

Yes that one is a Panda Puffer or Masked Puffer as they are sometimes called. They are found in the waters off of Australia.

This is Arothron diadematus, a close relative of A. nigropunctatus.
It comes from almost exclusively from the Red Sea.
The ones from Australia are normal A. nigropunctatus with a less prominent mask than Arothron diadematus.
Panda puffer as well as Masked puffer are two common names used for Arothron diadematus.

I remember seeing these puffers traveling in packs, when diving in the Red Sea. Bob Fenner was joking with me about "schooling puffers".

I've seen packs of them in the Red Sea as well.... they're one of my dive buddies fave fish to see
