TODAY SUCKS

Ok I left my home at around noon to drive 1.5-2 hours to another city to get Bloats new tank. I get all the way to the guys neighborhood and my car shuts off, and wont restart, as in does nothing when I turn the key not even a click. Then whil im on the phone with m mom talking to her(shes no real help living in Tenn just to vent) I sweat so much walking around to find a wifi signal that the screen on my cell phone screws up and I can no longer get or send texts and have no clue who is caling me till after I pick up. I HATE MY LIFE RIGHT NOW.

Oh and Blake(my 2yearold son) is with me.

Does that mean you didn't get Bloat's tank?

We've all had days like that xray .... try not to let it get to you (and I know that's hard to do right now). This will pass and things will get better. Trust me, I've had days when it's been one bad thing after another happening to the point where I wonder if anything good will EVER happen again.
It will get better. :)

*** that's why I always had AAA when I lived in America.

I use to have AAA but could no longer afford it.

I have had the WORST luck with cars lately. Im about to have a freakin mental break down with the way my life has been going this year. Hands down this is the worst year ever.

Sounds like ya need a battery or alternator. I'd have both checked. Usually it's the alternator if the car dies while running. Sorry I feel for ya my car is broke too. Actually if anyones a mechanic in MI pm me I'd like to have a personal mechanic. I need muffler work done before I get pulled lol

Did you check if the battery came disconnected? If the starter isn't even turning when you turn the key, it isn't getting power. If you hear a click, it's usually the starter. If the engine just turns, it could be the engine or many other problems but if you hear nothing at all, it is usually the battery. At least you can rest assure it isn't a problem with the engine or something worse. And at least he wasn't selling crack:)

everything yall suggested were the first things I checked.

It turned out to be the power distribution block on the inner fender. I finally got a call from the builder of the car, and he suggested pulling all the wires off of it and clean em up then reinstall. They didnt look bad at all but it was enough to get it running. And it drove flawlessly all the way home.

And by the time I got it running I was so drained and it was getting dark so I didnt even get to get the tank for Bloat.

To quote 'Black Adder', an old uk TV series; "The devil vomits into my kettle yet again' :(

Good to see you got it sorted :)

Must have been pretty stressful for your son in that Florida heat. My lot didn't enjoy their road trip of 1000 odd miles recently and they are much older. Nearly physical blows as to who got to sit where in the truck.

I've had fun with dodgy batteries for the 'Shogun' over the winter but that should be sorted now. A friend has an old Ford capri that I've started with a hammer blow to the starter motor before now.

Is it 'Murphy's Law' why, just before you had planned to do a water change something comes up that involves hands in oil, WD40 or something totally incomptible with puffer water?! I've no idea. It just happens that way

I do have one good story about car breakdowns that's very recent.

My wife was taking the kids to the pictures about 20 miles away but the inner plastic wheel shield came partially off of one of the wheels so the wheel itself ran over it. Stuck, she rang me but before I could get there a very young bloke pulled over on the dual carriadgeway road they were on (laybay) and cut the plastic tray off for her.

Eveybody here demonises youths in this country but that lad aged about 18-20 stopped to help.

There is good in this world :D

Don't buy a Peugot 207, they break down. A lot :(

It's good to know there are still some good people that will stop and help, it's just too bad that they are few and far between. :(

My impression is that there are more helpful people out there than you know :)

They are just 'buried' underneath all of the bad press that the scumbags seem to be entitled to. Bad stuff makes news, good stuff is page 63 next to the gardening answers!

It makes a human being feel good to help someone... :D

I try to make my 'glass' half full

Hope you are ok, 'Jeepster, I'm stealing your thread so I will shut up now!
