Very cool Orchidman! I really like the 10 gallon, looks so peaceful and natural.

They do both look good. I love the uniqueness of driftwood. Each piece is different and plays a special part in a tank. I like the fullness of the 1.5, it looks like the 10 needs more time for the plants to grow but I like the layout. I used to really like stem plants but I'm appreciating the slower growing non-stem plants more and more.

1.5 is way to small for a betta. Minimum of 5 with a sponge filter+heater. Tanks do look nice though. One or two DPS in the 10?

just dp's maybe an oto and 2 dps and maybe some shrimp. idk about the shrimp though. glad you like it
my plants are all starting to turn brown. is that because they were in a bowl of water for a few days? then someone drained some of the water? the parts that are brown were sticking out of the water

Maybe are the ones sticking out getting dried up? My rangeri sword which, looks similar to what you got, the parts that were sticking out dried up and died. I'd start trimming the others to prevent overgrowth.
With plenty of water changes and TLC I'm sure the betta will be fine.

they arent sticking out of the water at all, they were sticking out of the water though, when they were in the bowl.

Maybe they just kinda got damaged when they were sticking out?
