just think of how angry a bull gets when a matador waves the red cloth and how he reacts... it could be something like that but in a tank with fish :)

you already had a 10 gallon? i would personally go with DP's, but look deep into their care and everything that is required including foods that will keep their teeth trimmed, i believe they are one with the fastest growing teeth. maybe look into starting a snail breeder tank and get the puff(s) in like two or three months when you might have a nice amount of babies or at least egg sacks. if you have a 10 and a 5.5 i would use the 10 for 2 DP's and some nice plants and the 5.5 for a betta

alright, my ten gallon is empty right now. it was a brackish tank but now im cycling it back to freshwater now. what do i need to know about a snail breeder? back when my ten gallon was a community tank, it had hundreds of snail!! but then i got rid of them all.

DPs aren't the ones with the fast growing teeth, those are SAPs. You shouldn't need a snail colony for them at all. The main concern I've heard is that they can be picky eaters though mine always ate their bloodworms very well.

Yep. It's important to remember to feed them a varied diet and to soak their foods in a nutritional supplement. Others with more recent experience with DPs will be able to help you with foods that theirs liked.

I've heard that live blackworms are a favourite of DPs :)
