WHen i read about the precautions of feeding your puffer crustaceans, i never really thought about it until this happened!!!! I been feeding my puffer crustceans quite often because of my work schedule and this morning i noticed this beige like worms hanging at hes anus area. But the fahaka is still happily swimming around as if nothing is wrong.

Id say that those are IP's. Does your fahaka seem to lose his belly quickly after feeding?

GROSSS!

For puff you have to treat the food and not just the tank...

plus consider raising your own food..such as crays (I think you can breed crays)

:yuck: Not a pretty sight. :yuck:

Yes, fishes can live a long time with IPs without us realizing it. It's often when the fish is stressed by something that it finally gets ill. Besides treating the food, you still need to treat the whole tank for IPs. It's very contagous.

Definately soak food in the Jungle Labs Fizz Tabs also. You need to bring ht fight directly to the enemy and the only way to do that is to get him to eat medicated food, fish don't drink water and the food needs to get to the intestines.

If the IPs came from the food... are you feeding it fresh live food? I have read that it is best if the food is frozen first to kill off any possible worms. OR self raised uncontaminated live foods.
