Just surfing doing some brackish research and found this...

I've never heard anyone claim dog faced puffers are anything but marine. If this 100% wrong or do people actually keep them in brackish? (I'm not looking a anything that big, just curious..)

I would never attempt to keep a dogface puffer in brackish water, and I'd say that information is wrong, but I am not 100% certain.

Yea All dogface Ive ever seen for sale or in a persons aquarium all were full marine. DOgface thou is a common name used when the seller dont know what it is so they call it a dogface and it may be but a tad different in care so I wouldnt doubt if this happened making the profile messed up too. Soo many sites have bad info of fish keeping.

Stars and stripes puffer is similar. Pufferpedia says something about being brackish when young. Just though i would add that.

Many SW puffers take an occasional dip into BW but I certainly would never keep one in those conditions. Just a ploy to widen the interest of folks who may not want to go SW.
