Ok here's the deal:
50g planted tank (still in progress) inhabitants are:

15 pcs dwarf puffers
5 otocinclus
6 bumblebee gobies
8 kuhli loach
and 3 stone catfish
and 2 ghost shrimp

now the question is, is it overstocked?

By all rights you are way overstocked on dwarfs alone. There should only be 10 in a 50 gallon tank.

I definetly agree. You should do something about this. How long have you had the tank with this many inhabitants?

Nah, sorry, but I disagree, but just on the dwarf puffer part. I don't see where having 15 dwarf puffers in a 50-gallon tank is over-stocking. Now, I'm not talking about having the puffers with the other fish, just the puffers alone.

In a tank that size, 3g/DP isn't overstocked. That's total water volume though & no other fish.

they are with me for 3 1/2 months now.
the ghost shrimps are gone (dead and eaten)

Is that what is commonly called a Banjo cat?

they almost look the same, but the banjo grows bigger about 6 inches and they live in south america while the stone catfish stays small at around 1 1/2 inch and lives in bangladesh. i noticed from the pics that the banjo has a longer tail spanand also looks flat head than stone catfish.

I've got a Banjo catfish, had him a long time now, and I can't believe how he's grown. He loves to eat earthworms and that's probably why he's so fat. I never used to see him, but now, every once in a while, he will come up and hang on the temperature probe line. I always think he's dead because he seems to have that look, but doing well I think by the way he's growing.

When I was on vacation once, my Hubby thought he did me a favor by pulling out a "dead" fish & freezing it. It was my live (rarely moving) Banjo catfish. I had him 5 years.

wow, that sucks bigtime!

They do sort of "play dead", as I've thought mine's been dead before and only when I've poked it to make sure has it moved. But I can only imagine how you'd feel knowing your Banjo probably wasn't dead, but now frozen!
