the guy told me he has been eating well, which makes me think he might have IP's cause of how skinny he is. Guy also tried to tell me Fahaka's are nautrally a skinny puffer

It is indeed a Fahaka ..... but you might be right about the IP's. Don't listen to a word this man is telling you about this puffer. I like to think that all puffers should be a tad chubby myself.

Congratulations xrayjeeper, I hope you get him and fatten him up! :grats:

Wow! Great news. I can't wait to see pictures of him when he's in your tank. You've waited a long time, but sometimes when we've waited for something, the satisfaction is that much sweeter from the wait. :D

Should I start treating right away or give him a day or two to relax first?

I dont think Ive ever hunted and waited so long for something.

Aw congrats and piccys when he is settled, he does look like he has IPS and I agree with Suzanne, some have a squared off look but puffs tend to have a chubby look. I would personally start to treat straight away with addition of good food, congrats any names?

Aw its great you have the plans in place, Im sure you will a fantastic owner with him and of course you need any help there are so many lovely peeps on here with experience. I have only had my puffer about a month and a half almost two but the delight he has brought is just amazing, truly gorgeous puppies. I bet you are really excited lol xx I know we will all be itching to see Bloat when he has settled in and how he progresses (I certainly do!)
