Toys?

It might seem strange, but I remember once upon a time seeing a gold fish that would push a ping pong ball across the top of the water into a hoop. I know that my fahaka loves to chase things, I could take a plain chopstick and he'd chase it all over the tank. I was just kind of wondering if there was something like a boyant ball, that would kind of float, but not all the way to the top, and just kind of... float around in there... I put a ping pong ball in there and he nosed it around for a couple of minutes, but I took it out (he surfaced once, and don't wanna risk air bubbles...)...

I tried googling toys for fish, but I either came up with fish plushies and such for children, or crazy tanks for fish. Just wondering if you guys ever had any such ideas of something that would kinda bob around in there (maybe anchor a bobber to the bottom? lol ) Or, am I just nuts wanting to find a toy that would give my fish some amusement?

I remember it' was up in an earlier topic, but it's pretty long time ago. I tried to search it, but my patience didn't last more than 1 page of hits (doing water changes at the same time  ). I remember pingpong balls was mentioned, so maybe a search on that word can reveal the old topic.

You're not going to find something that hovers in the water column, unless its one of those radio controlled submarines ;) It will either float or sink. People have used ping pong balls and dog/cat toys, but keep in mind if your puffer decides to take a bite or swallow it... those teeth can go through a lot more than you'd expect!

You could tie a ball that floats to a weight that would leave the ball suspended at the height you choose. Then you could place it in front of the filter exhaust and it should move around maybe enticing your puffer to play with it.
