I was wondering if anyone had or knew anything about spotted leopard geckos? or knows a good forum for lizard people. I am looking to get a lizard and i think this is the one i want anyone have any other ideas ive never had a reptile but i fell in love with one of these guys at a pet store anyone got any other suggestions for good fun lizards to keep?

I would have to recommend a bearded dragon. If you want a reptile that is people friendly and likes to be held and interacted with, they are perfect. Seen a guy walking around the last reptile show with an adult bearded riding his shoulder. He just sat there looking around and never offered to try and get away or jump down.

I may be able to help, I have leaopard geckos and crested geckos that we breed and we also have a male ball python

I agree with xray, that is easily resisted. I dont know what a gecko's temperament is but I'm guessing they arent a hold and interact with me kind of pet. Just guessing. I dont know for sure but they strike me as a high strung, I gotta jump and run away kind of critter. Beardeds tame very easily and enjoy sitting with you and being pet. I want one really bad. Some day....

Our leopard geckos don't mind being held at all, they will sometimes just chill on ur shirt or in a pocket and the crested geckos are actually soft feeling and they are fun to hold to. Leopards aren't to bad temperment wise, ours don't bite and they are easy to care for, crickets, mealworms and bloodworms for food dusted with calcium. The crested geckos enjoy and type of fruit babyfood mixed with a suppliment and some occasional crickest, although the crested geckos don't really require a heat pad or lamp which in some ways is nice money wise.

the thing i have against leopard geckoes, ius their fat tail! it just grosses me out. and id want to be able to hold it

LOL I love there fat tails thats prolly my fav part about them!! So i have been researching Bearded Dragons and they are def. a option now as the videos i have seen has made me fall in love with them

Thats what I mean. They are so easy to like.

i hated all lizards till i got to hold a bearded dragon baby. it was amazing and now i love them
