Up until about 3 months ago I never owned a puffer. In that time I have bought a gsp, two f8's and a dp. And would eventually like to go sw and get some kind of sw puffer. I just think they awesome.

I know, they are so addictive! Before I happened upon them last November, I hardly even knew they existed or that there were so many different kinds of puffer fish. Now they are a big part of my life. Love them.

haha yeah polishpuff, I'd fill the whole house if I could. I started out with one 10g, then added another 10g and a 5g, then I rearranged everything so I could fit a 30g, and now I am in the process of a 55 saltwater.
Lol xrayjeeper. It's a good thing you are learning about them beforehand, unlike many of us who started out like "I saw this adorable fish and couldn't resist, I just had to get it! But what do I do now??"

They are addictive that's for sure, and it's like the more you know about them, the more you want to get some of the other species. We're just about maxed out for space now, so I really can't get any more, but I have a spare tank for the last puffer I'd like to have, which is a Fang's (and very hard to get over here). It's alot of work taking care of so many puffers, but well worth it as it's a very satisfying hobby, for me at least.

I totally understand the addiction thing, because I'm in the throes of it myself. My 5 DPs just aren't enough to quench that puffer jones, you know? There are definitely a couple of Figure 8s in my future.
I've been a fancy goldfish keeper since the early '90s. NOTHING else. Until now. And puffers ROCK.

I've downsized from 20 tanks to now just 18, but I will have to get another big tank in the near future for my Mbu, but not planning on getting anymore aside from that one. Alot of work involved in keeping up all those tanks -- but I am not complaining. I love my puffers.

Yes, I suppose you could say the downstairs is devoted to puffers mainly, but keep in mind that I don't work, so this is sort of like a job for me, and it certainly occupies a great deal of my time. No sitting around watching daytime television for me!

If I didn't work that would be really cool. Some day I would like to open a fish store. And actually do it right unlike most lfs's. Probably a pipe dream but its mine. lol
