dwarf puffer got bit, bacterial infection now?

i have a dwarf puffer who got bit and i thought everything was fine ... there was a small roundish mark on her side on her body where it meets the tail ... after a few days it became a red round spot and i thought maybe she had got bit again so i took her out and put her in a hospital tank ... the red got worse and i went to the fish store and they told me to treat with melafix ... i followed the directions and treated for a week with minimal improvement ... back to the fish store and they said because it is red it was a bacterial infection and needed both melafix and pimafix to treat ... so i have been treating with that for a week ... the size of the red patch has decreased (it had spread right around where the body meets the tail) but it is still not healed ... and it has been two weeks ... so clearly i am not doing the right thing ... does anyone know how to treat a red bacterial infection successfully ??? i live in canada so hopefully some products that are available here if possible ... (p.s. she is swimming fine, she comes to check me out when i go to the tank, she eats fine and kills snails with no problem)
this is a video, not the best, but if you watch full screen you can see the red part on the fish
