OHHH you see that maroon striping? Bubbles is absolutely GORGEOUS. Mine has a few red spots, but I love the full stripes. I agree, yet another competitor for POTM!

Thanks for the comments guys. Bubbles is about 3.5" including tail. I got him almost 2 months ago and he was about 2.5". The tank is a 120g (4x2x2) and he has been in there for almost a month.

I can't get over his maroon stripes - I keep looking at my fahaka and seeing the little red spots he has - I think I'm a bit jealous ;)
I love my little fahaka though, Quite happy to see another beautiful and happy baby!

Adorable..... Good for u on getting the proper size tank to start. Watch that overfeeding. A few more decorations, caves and a backdrop might make him more at home and the tank more interesting.

Thanks for the input. I like the black background as opposed to the bright colourful ones with pictures of plants etc. I only like natural things in my tanks. I will add more driftwood and perhaps a few rocks. The tank had more plants but Bubbles was eating them! I removed all of the plants he was eating so it looks a little bare now. About the overfeeding I hadn't fed him for 3 days because he was so full from the plants he was eating. He hasn't touched the plants that I have left in there so I'm crossing my fingers. Also he seems to digest the plants much slower than meatier food. Has anyone had this experience?
