White Discoloration of T. Turgidus..

My puffer has a white discoloration the skin right above the left fin. It is about 5mm in diameter and not a circle. I believe this to be a fungal infection. What kind of treatments are there for this?

Do you have pics? It's best to have an actual diagnosis before treating.

Bah I dont have a decent camera handy. All I have is my phone and it cant take good pics thru the glass. It looks sorta like a mole, but its white.

On second look there does appear to be "pitting" around the area of discoloration. The spot is in close proximity to the head

A PWC followed by treatment with Melafix and Pimafix would be a good start.
Is the spot fuzzy, raised/depressed? Solid white? How long has it existed? If it has been present for several days, is the spot growing or changing in any way? Water parameters (you knew we would ask for that!)?
Any tank mates? Could it be a bite, scratch or other wound?

She is by herself. It has no fuzz or anything. Looking at a profile from the front it looks as if the spot is slightly depressed. I noticed the spot a few days ago, it doesnt appear to be growing, but i have been away. Ammonia is undetectable in the tank.

Hard to say, but it sounds like this may be a scrape or small wound. If so your puffer is otherwise healthy and you are doing regular PWCs, this should heal within few days. I would still recommend performing a PWC, followed by M and P-fix treatments. Keep a close eye on the spot and let us know if it does not improve or begins to get worse.
