i have some dwarf puffers (around 15 pcs) in a 50g tank.i planned on turning it into a planted tank, currently have some anubias and java ferns since im still a noob in planted. i wanted a carpeted tank so i got an advice from a planted tank expert and he said that i should try marsile hirsuta. so after that i made a DIY light 3 pcs 32watt bulbs.

everytime i open the lights in the morning the dwarf puffers go on a panic mode. any advice on what to do?

Same here.

I got my tanks in a little dark room.

What I do is a turn on my room lights b4 tank light. That gives them some kind of a warning that sun is coming out

oooo a dimmer switch. Or, just a thought - some people have lights that simulate the sun and moon... a bit more natural.

another great kind of carpet plant is mircro sword, they are runners so if you plant one, your tank will be filled in no time
