I recently set up a brakish tank with a SG level of 1.012. In it I have two f8's and a Gsp. None of them will touch a snail or haermit crab or anything like that. All i can get them to eat is earth worms and frozen crill. Do they not eat shell food when small? What should I do?

If they're hungry enough they'll try new foods

Do they look at them as a food source? Are they interested or do they ignore them completely?

Try to squish it first b4 you drop it in that way they will get to the meat as soon as they poke at it.

That sg is getting a bit high for F8's.

Yes i believe F8's are strictly FW and low end brackish though GSP's can thrive fully in marine. As for the snails, mine won't bother with them either but when he went a day without eating he devoured some of my nesarrious like a jerk haha. I attempted since then to crush a ramshorn but he ignored it and let it go to waste. He may just be full, but I'll let some of the forum experts answer your question better than I can
