4 kinds of pufferfish from the Red Sea

here is a clip from our vacation to Egypt this april, starring 4 kinds of pufferfish:



Puffer #1: Whitespotted puffer (Arothron hispidus)
Puffer #2: Pearl toby (Canthigaster margaritata)
Puffer #3: Giant pufferfish, juvenile (Arothron stellatus)
Puffer #4: Masked puffer (Arothron diadematus)

glad you liked it :)

seeing puffers in the wild is amazing. our first day at the beach we saw the Masked Puffer - and the holiday was complete. later we saw some Tobys in shallow waters, small and very beautiful puffers :)

seeing the juvenile Stellatus was the highlight of the vacation. my girlfriend was swimming in to the beach to get out and se saw something small in shallow waters, 10-15 m from shore, depth about 1 m. the Stellatus was hunting for snails and clams and did not mind us following it.

Absolutely awesome. You had some quality time with those puffs! I'd love to dive the Red Sea sometime. Thanks so much for sharing.
