So the girlfriend brought home a 1.5" stars and stripes that is absolutely adorable. (actually not strange, she does adopt a bit often but her taste is impeccable) His QT ended tonight and he went "live".

Anyhow, we put him in our 55 gallon with our 4-5" Dogface who seems scared witless of him. He runs from the little guy and when they do get close the dogface turns dark brown and flattens his body shape into something of a "pancake". He is a total wus and should get over it in a day or so...

If that wasn't weird enough, our baby Emperor Angel (2") has become maternal/protective with the Stars&Stripes. He will nip/attack anyone who comes near the little guy and "herds" him towards all the food spots (algae clip, tasty spots on the LR, feeding leftovers on the filter intake, etc) and runs anyone off while he eats.

Anyone heard of anything like this before? Better pics soon, for now see below...

yes quite normal in certian tanks to have that happen. my clowfish steals food from my porc puffer while its in his mouth and feeds it to a coral she has adopted.
