HI all, 2 of my Amazon puffers are being EXTREMELY picky about what I fed them. I tried bloodworms, mysis shrimps, cooked shrimps, snails, clams... And they showed no interest on them at all...
They only like blackworms...

However I don't have access to blackworms all the time and they are getting skinnier and skinnier... What else can I try?

Krill, Earthworms.

Try soaking their food in garlic. You can use a product like Garlic Extreme, or you could mash up cloves of fresh garlic and strain out the juice with a coffee filter paper.

Oh, and for future reference, avoid cooked foods. It's hard for them to digest.

Thanks I'll give garlic a try. Re cooked food, I heard that I shouldn't be feeding them raw food ? So if I wanted to feed them seafood like shrimps, clams, mussles, etc, do I have to feed live ones?

For worms.. Do I just dump the whole worm in or do I have to chop it into pieces...?

not live but not cooked either ... frozen store raw stuff

Freshly frozen food is fine.
With the worm you could chop or put it in live, if theyre being picky I would try live first.

I gave frozen shrimp a try last night. And wow they were more interested in that comparing to cook ones.

Just double checking, red wriggler worms are also okay right?

Cant see why not its still an earthworm.

Wigglers are a perfectly good, fast reproducing earthworm for fish that can't handle nightcrawlers at all, and have trouble with trout and panfish small fish worms.
