im sitting on the sofa using the laptop and his tank is right beside me...
for hours he swims up and down, up and down, up and down , watching me..

when i make a movement, he gets all excited, oooh food is coming lol...
then when no food drops in... he looks all sad... like im just teasing him...

think i may have to give in...and put in some snails...

puffer love is tough.....

To help you not feeling bad, most of my puffers beg even right after an overfeeding - they will literally ignore any food I could add at that point. But they still beg.

my figure eight does that whenever i walk into the room. he literally follows me around from his tank. He's like a puppy : ] and if im not there, he plays with my cat. She loves to sit on the chair by the tank and watch him. He gets really close and teases her on purpose i think lol

I thaw my F8s' food in a ziplock baggie with tank water. I let it sit about 15 minutes- righ on the bit of table in front of their tank. The whole 15 minutes they pace from just before the baghie. To just after it and repeat.

Kaleeko does that as well.. his tank is in a different room from our living room and he'll stay in the side of the tank where he can see us, he'll swim up and down until we come into the room then he'll get very excited and swim along the top .. he's starting to realize he can make a current while swimming.... lol soon the floor is going to be soaked!!

I used to have my Mbu in the tank that's here by the computer desk, but we moved him a couple weeks ago to a bigger tank, and now my Fahaka, Obie, is in the tank nearest the desk. I miss BeeBoo so much because he would hang out with me as I sat here typing. Obie tends to hide in the plants and you don't even know he's in the tank because he hides that well. I was hoping that Obie would replace BeeBoo as my aquatic companion when I'm at the computer, but I've been a bit disappointed. :(

I've actually had 9 puffers watching me at the same time! It's not possible anymore, as there aren't 9 puffers in my 3 X 3 tank rack by the entrance. But still there are a lot of them watching me when I stand in front of the rack. 2 lortetis and 2 F8s will surely be watching me there (they always get excited when they see something moving outside their tanks), and sometimes my GSP and my suvattii. My irrubesco, Houdini, on the other hand, I only see if I look into her very secret hiding place. I never see her leave her favorite spot behind the filter and heater.
