don't worry ... they were probably fed soft foods while at the store. They will get into them after a while if no soft food is available. But keep an eye on them, you don't want to starve them by accident
Welcome to the forum!!
Please tell us about your set up. GSPs are some of the most ill cared for fish and the place where you purchased them from most likely gave you incorrect information.

I personally didn't have luck with them... they LOVE blood worms, but try different foods. Shell on raw shrimp, muscles ets... just no raw fish. Shelled crustacean are the way to go. Variety is best if you can get them to eat it.
Others will chime in and offer other options

welcome to the club!
I started with 6 GSPs .. and ended upgrading... who knew?
Take care of the fish and they will provide YEARS of happiness for you! They are not the "normal fish"

They are sweet fish. But as said above " be prepared to be there slave". I highly recommend taking them to full marine. What are you intentions? You may have to give one or two up. I kno you thought they need a buddy but when I gave my extras up to a well known fish store( I made sure they'd sell them as marine fish too but mine was already acclimated to sw). The ones left in my tank got much brighter.

They need 30 gal minimum per GSP bc of their bioload and territorial/aggresive
behavior. Please read the links posted above it will answer most of your ?s. It's not a ton of reading either. How did you cycle this tank??????? If you have them in bw walmart has em in fw? What's your sAlinity how'd you increase it? Sorry for typos I'm using my crappy iPhone.

Yes 90g minimum. I have two in a 55 should be 60 but 55 is what I got. But it marine now so I gained some water volume with my sump. How did you raise the salinity so quickly without crashing the tank. What are your water parameters like??? Was it cycled with other media or fishless?
