SAPs & thier snails..??

Post by pdm »

Do any species of snails work for feeding the south american puffers :?:

I wonder if like petco has breeder snails or enough stocked for me to purchase weekly on a regular basis, what is the minimum amount of snails necessary to feed one puffer per week :?:

SA puffs require a daily diet of snails, unless you'd like to trim their teeth often. Pond snails and ramshorns should do fine. Just avoid MTS.
I'd rather be a puffer than a snail. Yes I would, if I could, I surely would...

I wish I had your problem of looking for snails... my t. baileyi won't touch them and so I have to pick them out of the tank one by one :(

but I toss them into my 10g and my dwarves take care of them
Getting out of the hobby....

I feed mine ramshorn and pond snails. Every day. And I still have to trim his teeth every 3 months or so.
