I would like for you all to meet Nala our Fahaka Puffer, she is currently the newest edition to our puffers!
We named her Nala after the Lion King

She is currently in a 90 gallon all to herself She was temporarily split with a sting ray, and now she is all alone once again. Which she seems a lot happier

When her tank was divided

Oh Lisa, she's a beautiful little puffer! Very lovely. How big is she? Her colours are very strong. My Obie changes alot going from very mild colours to bolder colours when he's "hunting".

We really enjoy her, she's so cute!!
She's still pretty small, she's about 2 inches including her tail

She's got good colouring for that size. My Obie is about 4" and like I said, sometimes his colouring is very soft and pastel like, other times it's quite bold. But he didn't have the sort of colouring that your Nala has when he was that size.

Hmm.. Obie is pretty darn cute too. When we first put Nala in the tank she was incredibly dark
& she had a bunch of bruises on her stomach, she no longer has the bruises, and she seems to have settled into her new environment.

Once we get Kaleeko into a 450 we will be moving her into the 120, and that is where she will live out her life.
We are going to keep the 3M Colourquartz - plum sand in there, I would like to see if the purple will bring out the vibrance in her stripes

I swear big puffers know they are going to be growing and get crabby about tank size way sooner than their current size indicates.

haha oh, we've had some experience with Kaleeko Don!!
He is such a begger, he is so darn cute though. We have learned to resist to give in to him though lol

Nala is beautiful Lisa, very nice colouring so early on

awe she looks so healthy, these are the kinds of new puffer pix i love seeing, shes beautiful... i only wish i could have gotten my fahaka as a "puppy" (lol, since they act like dogs), i would have loved to see Kukah grow up into the big aquatic pitt bull that he is today
