The Puffer Forum

My fiancé gave me this puffer and the store owner said it was a figure 8. I wanted one before and the pics just don't look like him. He is a tan colour with black and brown spots that some merge together. His belly is white and the size of a pea at this time.

can you send them to Photobucket and post a link? it is almost impossible to ID a fish without a visual

that would be a good start ... tan with black spots at that size ... = ??

also we need the shape... torpedo like or a fatty? likes the bottom or swims all over the place ....

any details you can provide

Best possible puffer to start with IMO. No special care needs other than a fully cycled tank, and to avoid flakes or pellets. Anyone can give them enough space. They have big personality for such tiny fish - even when not hungry, my fiances dwarf puffer, Emma, will swim out and hang out with her when she's near the tank, just watching her, or watching herself being watched.
