I just wanted to say thanks to everyone for getting me on the right track and update on out progress

Puffydyle (GSP) moved to the 30 gallon tank built in out basement wall. I changed the base to sand and added a ton of plastic plants and rocks. He seems to be doing very well and is much happier all by himself.

The 15 gallon snail tank has become sort of an ecosystem tank. I've got snail of the 1 inch variety, a glass catfish, a african frog, and a long ghost shrimp that Puffydyle missed... it has a bunch of live plants... I tried to feed the snails peppers and that was a no go....

And I opted for a 30 gallon for the rest of the friends the spotted cat, the silver dollar, the orange molly and the kissing gourami... still working on what to do with the lone silver dollar fish as they are supposed to school....

You also might want to get more glass cats - they're schoolers. Also, the African dwarf frog needs a buddy or two. Or, is it an African dwarf frog? Hopefully it's not an African clawed frog!

For the snails just try spinach..it has calcium for their shells and they eat it like candy..

RTR, I think, gets fresh spinach, freezes it (so it will sink) and cuts it into small pieces.

I just buy a frozen bag of spinach for $1 and I pull it out when I am going to feed ..let it thaw, just slightly not all the way-for about 10 minutes (only just enough so a knife can slice it)...and shave off thin frozen slices with a knife..so it is already in small pieces and I drop it in (in such thin slices the water thaws it in seconds)...a bag lasts forever

just be careful not to let it thaw all the way and then re-freeze over and over again..

The frog does need a friend! I have two of those and they are definitely social!

Its the dwarf one who came with a snail and bamboo in a mini ecosystem tank. He did have a buddy but said buddy died right before he moved into a uncruel tank. I was thinking about more glass cats and another frog but don't want to bio overload or over crowd the tank... what do the glass cats eat?

and we're having snail babies!! I saw two egg sacs sites!!
