Picky eater

My gsp has always been a picky eater. I remember him and my f8 not eating krill (the frozen and packed kind), so I switched them to a seafood only diet, well now my gsp wont eat regular, supermarket shrimp, just clams which is really frustrating because I want to give him a variety of food as to not bore him with his diet...he wont eat snails either or basically any of the fish food. Any suggestions on more variety for this picky eater?
P.S. Sometimes he wont eat at all for days in a row...is this normal? Thanks

Earthworms or night-crawlers are the answer, here. Generally, they motivate even the most reluctant puffers to eat, and eat WELL, not just nibble.

I share a similar situation with you Puffer_holic, as I have 2 GSP's that are very picky and even earthworms won't get them to eat. They only want to eat mussels. I try giving them different foods, but they don't bother with it and the food just sits in the tank putrifying. They will eat snails, but only if they see them falling right in front of them, if they happen to turn around and miss one, then that snail isn't eaten and as they are in brackish water, obviously the snail won't live long. So I know what you're going through with the pickiness. And I've got a Baileyi that's also a bit of a picky eater and she will go for days without food, but eventually she does eat.

My DP's are very picky as they would only eat blood worms.

I'm thinking of a 3 day starvation and then dropping some mysis shrimp.
