Hello all,
My first post in the attempt to seek assistance with diagnosing my Ceylon or Green or any of the other names apparent to my new friend Finlay.

Symptoms
Finlay is cruising the bottom of the tank hitting anything that gets in his way (almost as though blind)
His or her color on his back has darkened
Scuse me rear end dilated to about 1mm
He is 1.5 in long

I have had him for about 1 week and it is not a new tank set up just a changed one i am currently doing as told by my LFS and adding salt slowly over the next couple of weeks until i reach 0.25-0.30 currently stands at 0.11.
No tank mates
New water in 3 days ago (the usual de chlorine) Filter good (4months running).

Any suggestions more than welcome.

Many thanks

Gary

Thanks for your sympathy's
I didn't have him long but i am quite amazed at how quickly you get attached to these fish.
I am glad it was quick really (If at all)
It was my first Topaz.
It wont be my last.

The only thing i can think of is adding too much salt too quickly.
I was using Doc wellfishes aquarium salt as prescribed by LFS though.

I have 0 NH3/NH=+4
0 N0 2
5 N0 3
7.5 ph
11 TDS salts

Many Thanks

Gary
