I have 2 GSPs, Lee and Carter, I have them for a month now.They are about 2 inches now. Before, I've dump about a tablespoon of Aquarium salt every water change, but I'm wondering how to do it the proper way. Any1?

is there another name for Marine salt?

There are lots of different brand names...probably the most common one you'll see is "Instant Ocean". It comes in bags, buckets, and boxes...

I don't push products usually but this is one of the best deals I have found on salt. Good stuff too.

If I buy salt from the LFS I pay about $20 more for the same amount.

"Sea Salt" is a condiment for kitchen and table use. It is NOT marine mix, and it is not suitable for use in tanks. Sea Salt is the product of evaporation from evaporation ponds - those brines undergo irreversible chemical reactions which radically change the characteristics of the final dry product. It will not support marine life.

"Marine mix" is the usual title for the blends that are used for marine and brackish tanks for fish and inverts - although fish-only tanks and invert/reef tanks generally use slightly different blends. "Marine salts" is another possible title.

I use only "Instant Ocean", either of two formulations depending on the tank. For BW fish I use the standard "Instant Ocean" blend, not the reef/invert mix.
