ok... i'm slow and can only do so much at a time.

My two are in the tank they are in for right now. For the last 2 days they've only had the option of goldfish flakes for food. The article link I was given (which was a great article... thank you) says this:

Foods for smaller puffers are frozen/freeze-dried krill/plankton, gut-loaded ghost shrimp, glass worms, crickets, worms and small snails (the size of their eye). Snails are an essential food to a puffer’s diet, especially when small.

Can I get any of these things at Walmart? or do I need to go to a PetCo/Petstore?
If the answer is Petco is there anything I can do to feed them til then?

Your GSPs will do fine eating a lot of the other foods too. They seem big enough..about the size of mine really. I feed him a lot of the items listed in the article. Most of them you can get from the grocery (frozen shrimp,mussels, ect) you would be more apt to find your bloodworms/blackworms/krill/ at a pet store/LFS. You can just give him enough to fill him up, he'll be able to bite off chunks of larger shrimp. I thaw mine out in vitamin water (vita-chem). You can find night crawlers at bait shops.

Your welcome You should be feeding them once a day (until their bellies are nice and round) skipping one day a week.

Let us know what you find that they like. Try soaking their food in crushed garlic to enhance flavor/appetite, if they turn their snout up at what you offer them.
