What kind of spider is Fangs?A white knee? That's a really good photo!

My husband purchased a Rose Hair Tarantula a couple of weeks ago. I was so surprised since he is terrified of spiders. Do you know how far they can throw the hairs on their rump? I've researched a lot but have yet to find an answer. :)

Bones, I have a massive spider phobia. Huge phobia.

Tarantulas I've never been afraid of. In second year I took two invertebrate courses and a TA brought in their tarantula. Lo and behold, I truly have no fear of tarantulas and was able to play with "Natasha" for about 2 hours with a few other students. No fear.

Tarantulas = awesome.
Spiders = evil bringers of death and fear, they may steal souls as well as a multitude of other evil things. :scared:

ROTFL. Wow that's kind of how my husband is. When we go on our herpetology hikes in the Spring I sometimes hear a big manly eek followed by the sounds of a 6'5 man running though the woods. It's my hubby. Running from a venomous snake? maybe a bear? Naw, it's a spider. :shock:

Thanks for the compliments!
"Fangs" is a Flame Knee Tarantula. She's been with me for a little over ten years. Raised her from a pup! :D

To be honest though, a venomous snake or bear really aren't nearly as scary as a small spider.
