ok... so ive had my fahaka for about 2 months now (see avatar) hes about 8". since im new to puffers, i held off on naming him because i didnt want to name a fish if it was just going to die (yes i have done my research.... but since im new to them i just held off just incase i missed something)
anyway, now that i know how to take care of him.... im looking for a name. i dont know if its a girl or a boy.... he just looks like a boy to me.... so im considering him to be a male lol....... btw, saw this smiley... had to add it... it reminds me of my kitties and my nameless puffer so much haha
i was thinking TEGU or CONGA those are the only 2 names i can come up with that arent typical puffer names like spike puff blow... i like a unique and exotic name... anyone got any ideas?????

since they come from africa, how about something in that area? I've always though if I get a pair of fish, i'd call them Toki and Sambu from the 2 cheetahs featured on the show nature.

Can you put a pic of the Fahaka here.. A face is easyer to call a name to i think
Mine Fahaka called Faya.. I had some names but i waited until i could see what her personality was.. Mine is just like a nice Lady, so she gets a nice Lady name..
If you'rs is a mean fast thing ( or something ) that i should try to find a name that fits his personality
Good luck!

I'm not sure, isn't there a Filbert nut? We actually have a Filbert tree & I liked the name so much I named him that.

Yep, fiberts and hazelnuts are the same thing! But I think Filbert is also a people-name.
