My SA puff died while I was away...

Yes this is the same puffer which I tried so hard to get it to eat. Before I left for my trip, it was actually munching worms from off my tweezers. An amazing feat. I left for my trip, giving my mom clear instructions on what to do.
Alas, on the first night that I left, my mom found it stuck at a corner of the tank, and she said she tried to free it. After that, it had problems swimming. It swum a small distance, then dropped to the bottom of the tank and the situation repeated itself. She removed the puffer and put it in a quarantine tank, but didn't tell me. (SO I COULDN'T GET THE INSTRUCTIONS TO HER ON TIME!!!

)
It died two days later, and she didn't tell me. I didn't even have a chance to say bye. And I don't even know what hit it. Mom couldn't tell me. Maybe it was having internal parasites from the very beginning when I got it. But it was swimming around fine.... Sniff....
Hopefully it's in puffer heaven now...

Ahh... I'm sorry to hear that. I have huge anxieties about going away for Xmas with a sick fish in my care.
Don't be too hard on your mom, her intentions were good!

Sorry about your loss. Hope in time you might again consider getting another SAP though.

Oh that sucks...I know how hard you tried with the force feeding and everything...don't be hard on yourself, you did better and tried harder than most people would have.

Ok it's confirmed. It was wrongly medicated, plus no change of water was done. And she used the fish bowl as the quarantine tank instead of the other 10G quarantine tank. Sigh.
Get another SA? I would if I could find one here. They're awfully rare. The one I bought was the ONLY one I could find around here.
Thanks for all the condolences...
