Too Much or Too Little?

After seeing some photos of the puffers other people are keeping... Mine seems nearly anorexic in comparison! I thought I'd post pics, because I think he's healthy. He's just not... as big as everyone else's. My abei puffer is about 1.5" long, still a baby really. This is him about an hour or more after eating. Please ignore the terrible case of brown algae I'm dealing with. Ick...

He looks fine to me...having a fat puffer isn't always the best for the fish :)

There's not a thing wrong with your Abei, he looks great. I've also got that brown algae, but the problem with having an Abei is that you can't put any tankmates in with them. I had an algae eater in there and it was taking care of the algae and doing a darn good job .... but then one day I found it with a fatal bite mark on it's abdomen, and that was it. I haven't put any other fish in that tank since. Would be nice if they would allow a small fish to take care of the algae, but mine won't. :(

The more lurker species don't get so big and round as say a GSP. I think he looks just fine :)

Is the tank still a newer setup? Diatoms are very normal in the first few months, one day they will go away :)
