This was listed on Aquabid as a "red bellied puffer:"

Just off the top of my head, I'm thinking irrubesco female --
but now I think maybe lorteti female.

At first I thought irrubesco at first also .. but doesn't have the red tail ..

Female irrubesco's don't have the red tail. Just the boys. You can see if you look through the pics in the PufferPedia.

I'm assuming it's an irrubesco.

When I purchased my Lorteis they were listed as Red Bellies also...

Find out if that is a photo of the actual fish or just a stock photo.

The red eyes are all tricky to tell apart, and if that's not an actual photo, you really have no idea what they are going to send you.

I think it is a stock photo. Polish Puff beleives it is his elusive female loretti that he's trying to hunt down.

His best bet would be to ask for a picture of the actual fish then.

I'm headed to AU next Tuesday, I'll check around for some for him Doubt it, but you never know. Of course, if I find any, they may come home with me!!!

the picture shows a female carinotetraodon borneensis. here in germany they are very rare to find. if they should also have males and if the pics are showing their real fish, i would buy them!

I think so ..., but I was thinking of putting a couple of these in 1 of my tanks too

Obviously, with the snow I didn't make it to Madison Polish, sorry about that. If they'd open earlier in the day, it would be a heck of a lot easier for me to get there and still make it to work on time!
