Hey Fishmastermike! Glade you made your first post! Welcome to the forum!

I'm going to say if i had the choice i'd get the Abei for sure...the arrowheads are lurkers and aren't as active...so I've read/been told

Both are lurkers.

Both are relatively aggressive lurkers and have close to the same care requirements. I personally would go for the Arrowhead from experience but the Abei could be cool too. The reason I chose the Arrowhead is their look, a little different from other puffers and mine has a lot of personality.

Well I would say that the Abei is going to be the more active of the two, at least mine is. The suvattii (arrowhead) definitely has character, no doubt about it, but they can sit in the same place for ages. The Abei will be up and about and moving around the tank.
So it really all depends on what you are looking for in a puffer. The suvattii will also grow a bit bigger than the Abei as well. Neither puffer will accept tankmates (although I have been successful having a Palembangensis in with my suvattii).

OOOOOO....both lurkers....didn't know that. Thought that the target Puffs were a lil diff....never had either one. But if I could I'd love to have a Abei! The Suvattiis are cool too!

Abei is not of the (red eye) target species.

thanks guys (and girls) i appreciate the help i like the arrowheads shape and i think the whole lurker thing is cool and i like big and agressive fish. i think i will be going with the arrowhead but i was also checking out congo puffers and liked them too. also if anyone could give me a care sheet on the abei and arrowhead other than the ones here that would be wonderful. thanks!

Alright i read The Arrowhead Puffer Maliciously Miraculous and found it very helpful but i have been reading about congo puffers and fell in love with them. My question is would i be able to keep a congo and a arrowhead in the same tank? im guessing no but it cant hurt to ask right.
