I think that there isn't much difference between land and water and most land snails eat vegetation and or other snails or slugs. Risk of parasites and bacteria would be the same as with water variety snails. I actually recently tried feeding these land snails to my modestus. I see that they may have more meat on them but also more fecies. They munhced on them just fine and went wild on them. If they are of proportional size why not try. Just my opinion. If you are conerned loook up the species of land snail in your area.

I ID the snail in my area as "rumina decollata" aka "snail destroyer". Sold as a pest controller of brown snails or slugs. Hunts down these common garden pest as a natural alternative to pesticides. And also non-toxic if by some strange chance a small child were to ingest them as stated at one of these web sites selling them. Are these swedish land snails small enough for your Duarfs?

As long as they are collected where there are no pesticides used.

Tnx!
There are alot of snails, but the most of them is to big for my dwarfpuffer, but i guess that if you put alot of snails and some food in a big jar there will be some snail babies. Writing this makes me wonder if it's not more convinient to just go to a pet store and ask for some unwanted snails.

That's what a lot of us do, actually, going to stores. Don't forget to quarantine them for at least a week.

If you want to breed snails, you should look up the snail-breeding articles in the Library.
