hi members ,
this is my first post cause when I begin rearing puffers I did not had any problems . now I ordered an mbu puffer from germany . when I put him into his tank which is fully matured he begin to swim normally and the day after he ate some ramshorns snails which make it belly look nice . then 2 days later I noticed that both eyes where not normally but have some bluish on their outside . I had paniked and go to the internet and found some speciemens which also had this type of blurry eye ( not the blurry eye which we see on chiclids when the water quality is very poor) . Now can you tell me what should I do and is it a problem and if it is my mbu at a large risk . and 10q in advance

You're going to want to post in the Hospital forum here. Be sure to answer the questions in red at the top of the forum, so we can help you more easily. In addition, we'll want to know how you cycled his tank, who else is living with him, and what size tank he is living in.

If you're seeing sort of a sparkly blue iridescence, that's normal in lots of puffers. If you mean its eyes are clouded over, this could be a bacterial or fungal infection. Best to post in the Hospital forum and provide more details, as mrgreen says.

It does sound to me like the normal bluish iridescence that many puffers have in their eyes, when light hits it. But please, go ahead & answer the questions above, in red.
