What fish can go with my porcupine puffer

hey guys just wanted to know a small list of fish that would be friendly towards my puffer as my 2 clown fish just hide and there not much fun for him so what something good i can put with him

(him or her dont know how to tell haha

Please post your tank size & filtration in this thread, so folks that may have not seen your other thread may have some idea what your working with.

7foot tank - 100-120ish gallons - marisys 240 filter setup (sump - filter - and protein skimmer - with a upgraded pump in the filter witch my lfs said is an insane setup and will keep my tank clean as atm i have my 10cm puffer witch is so awsome

and 2 little clown fish witch stay around the filter together but there not scared anymore as they swim around the puffer , so what else could i put with them

Well your porc, which will get up to 18" when full grown, is going to need a tank that size just by himself at the very least - so I'd personally forget adding another big fish. But, if you're set on adding more fish, I'd stick to something small and able to defend itself, like another variety of clown or perhaps some sort of damsel. If you have enough live rock, there should be enough places for them to hide at night or when they feel threatened, which helps with their survival rate.

I agree with marksrush. If you really want more fish that can be housed with your porc long term in that size tank, stick with small feisty fish. Damsels, dottybacks, possibly a small hawkfish

Damsel's are the best bet, they can take a fight with smaller fish but are a tiny bit aggressive to others.

Sorry if this is obvious but do not put anything in with the porc that you could not stand to lose. Watching mine in action I am relatively certain that just one good bite on a similarly sized fish could prove fatal. That beak is nothing to mess with.
