algae

have changed water to brackish now its at 1.004 at mo - nitrites o nitrates 20 amonia 0 and PH 8.
am now getting brown algae on sand and hair algae on all the plants - is there any way of removing???

This brown algae is not actually algae - it's called diatoms. The initial diatom bloom is normal for most tanks. It happens in the first weeks/month or two, and then it disappears. Real algae comes next.

You may not even have a problem with real algae. I don't mind traces of it in my natural-looking tank - I think it adds to the decor. In my other one, which is black, blue, and red, I don't have an algae-eating animal, so I wash off the red glass chunks every few months and use a Mag-Float every month or so, but there's very little need for maintenance.
