can you freeze live mussels?

Hi everyone i was wondering if you could freeze live mussels for later use? and how would you dethawe them if you can?

Sure, just defrost in room temp water, with added liquid fish vitamins.

Thanks for getting back so fast because i just came home with 2 bls of mussels and i just wanted to know because i hate buying only a few since they only last 3-4 days so thanks for the advice!

I use them all the time...I buy them fresh, freeze them, take one out and let it thaw, and serve it up. They're good puffer food, and they're cheap.
