And the puffer goes spit spit

Ok, I kinda solved my SA puffer, now my irrubesco is throwing tantrums. It used to eat normally, grabs and swallows bloodworms by the whole, eat up shrimps and snails etc.

I shifted it out to another 2-ft tank somewhere last week because it was attacking the wife very viciously, and I didn't want to see puffer skeletons. It sulked for 2 days, then started pecking at food. Now, it will go after the bloodworms I drop, but it will eat it, suck out some parts and spit the rest out, and repeat the process. Then it will ignore the disgusting looking 1/2 eaten worm, and look at me as if to ask for more. Sometimes he'll just ignore the smaller worms. Is he just bored with his food or?

He has never done this in the past. He is a real "pig". So I'm wondering if this is any cause of concern. I'm not sure he's even getting much food into that belly of his. I can't seem to see much of his teeth, so I don't really think they're overgrown? He's almost 1.5 inches now. Quite a big boy.

Thanks!

Likely not fully settled in, and also bored with the food - are you offering a variety?

Yeah. Ghost shrimp (frozen and thawed, live), bloodworms, snails (which he refuses to touch lately), green peas etc....

Garlic juice/oil doesn't seem to be working as well. Weird... I'll just give it awhile more. Thanks!
