I treated Bullet and Bug's water yesterday, and the day before that. Well, I thought he'd finally be rid of IP's. Nope. I fed them a ton last night and this morning, Bullet's skinny, Bug's bloated. *sigh* What gives?? I don't know if I'd want to put him in the big tank with IP's, the ones at the LFS are plump and round. What do you think??

Some fish just digest faster than others. Also, male DPs tend to be naturally slimmer than females. Is he showing any other signs of IPs?

His poop seems fine. But his skin actually touches, side to side, the next day!! Is that normal?

Even after you get rid of IPs, it may take a while for your fish to fatten up, sometimes 2-3 weeks. If the poo looks fine, just feed him as much as he'll eat for a couple weeks to get some body fat on him, it can take a while to recover from the starvation caused by IPs. I've found blackworms fatten DPs up much faster than bloodworms, from personal experience - bloodworms have a lot more indigestible parts than blackworms.

Really? Phew, that's a relief. Should I feed him twice a day, every day to help him even more? I'll look for blackworms too. Wow, this is such a relief, I can't stop saying it!

I feed puffers as much as they will eat for the first weeks following IP treatment.
