Ever been done? Would never do it myself, but just curious, cause that would be pretty cool if it was miraculously pulled it off. For me it would just be one or the other if I ever had the opprotunity to have either.

I've seen it done, but it was in a tiny tank owned by a stupid sunnuvabee. Usually, fahakas are really too nasty for tankmates.

Not if you want your mbu to live. Some fahakas may do well with other tank mates (about 1%), but all of then HATE other puffers!

i found mbus can occasionally co habitate (when there older) younger ones are finicky little things and tend to bully other puffers in the tank. as for a nile and mbu thats a site i would never like to see

I think it would be cruel to try such a combination!

Wow, your avatar really had me there for a moment, DracoRJC. I get bugs on my screen because we have ants in the dorm sometimes, so even after I figured out that it was just a picture, I still kept thinking it was real!

At night, there are a few pesky bugs that fly around my screen & lamp, because it's the only light in the house. Makes me crazy!

If you can get a tank that is at least 8 feet long, at least 3.5ft wide, and at least 2ft tall then you could give it a shot. You always need to have a tank wide enough for the fish to completely turn around with minimal flexing of their body.

But if you can get a tank that big you'd might as well just go with an Mbu puffer. VERY FEW people are able to keep a 3ft fish in an appropiate sized tank. Most people end up building indoor tropical ponds for fish that big.

I'm personally against keeping a fish if you can't give it a home for it to grow to it's proper size and age or if you can't rehome it to a better home once it reaches that size. Currently the biggest fish I keep can get up to 18" long which is fine since the tank they are in is 7ft long and 2ft wide.

Naw, way bigger than that.

Im building a 9-10x3x3 in the next 2 months just for a mbu....... personally i think youll need a olympic swimming pool for this idea to work and then the chances are minimal. i wouldnt like to say what would happen if both were put together its a matter of sheer size vs agression..... defenatly not a experiment i would like to see myself
