hmm..while I've never personally tried this product, I feel it's grounds have merit. When I was treating a tang for ich a while back with copper, a lot of it's 'good bacteria' was killed, which happens oftern with tangs, and I could have used a marine or tang version of this...has anyone used this before?

eh its like the yeast bacteria that humans take called acidophelious or something. some swear by it some dont.

id rather see ppl try less invasive ways to treat illness then let ppl think meds are always the answer....

lower sg first. then bring out the meds.

I agree with trying other methods before meds...most of the time they do more harm than good, even with the best of intentions.

The concept has merit. That unfortunately says little about the particular product. No experience there myself.

I'm with Jager. In addition, meds should stop trying to claim they are "Reef Safe". Preying on newbies, that's what it is.

There is one and only ONE organic based anti ich med that our pet store uses on minor cases with extremely good success with NO tank fallout issues. other than needing a partial after use. granted its in a huge system so its diluted, but id trust it in a q/t tank as well as my old standbys for last defense. the nitro fuzo mixed antibiotic and the formulin.

I will grab the name, but i still use no meds on any fish until lower sg is tried or ruled out (some tangs and angels dont do lower sgs....) also some fish must only be dipped as they dont survive any long term meds with success.

Ill put up a thing on dipping fish in medicated water soon when i can get it proofed. anybody wanna take a stab at proofing it? i can email it to you.

I have to agree. I treated with copper a few years ago before I knew how potent and deadly it can be. I wish someone had told me back then!

It is extremely effective at killing parasites.

It's just extrmely effective at killing everything else, unfortunately.

and copper use has it's place in the hands of people who know what they're doing I suppose.

I have used copper. I have also dumped the tank, substrate, filter, etc. where it was used all into the trash. To me that makes it an absolute last resort and absurdly expensive.

hehe . i have one very old bottle of copper and its in its own tank all by itself in the attic. just incase, but it has not been used for years.

I used malachite green on my dudes when they had ich 18 months ago. I know I'll regret it eventually, but I really didn't know any better.
