IS THIS A BAD WORM?!?!

i noticed on my live rock today 2, centimeter long white worm looking things

on the end of them is a bunch of red hair looking strands sticking up

i cant get a picture, but i havent noticed it moving

do you think this is a worm or something else?

Bristle/fire worms. They are fine when they are small. Good detitrus eaters and such. Sometimes they get to big though and starting eating fish, corals, etc. Peppemint shrimp i believe and for sure six line wrasse get rid of them if you dont want them in your aquarium. My wrasse has so far.

honestly, it looks nothing like that, ill put a picture up after school today, but, its like a pom pom at the end almost, could it be a babay feather duster? the hairs on the "pom pom" are very fine tho

Wow that is like something out of a horror movie! I'd freak out if I came across something like that in a tank of mine.

Ewww reminds me of the movie Species i think and Alien...thats gross and scarey,i wasnt expecting to see something that big ugh ugh..gave me shivers

thanks guys

but im pretty sure they are small feather dusters, the pom pom goes in and out of the white tube and i just matched up pictures and stuff, is there anything i can do to help them out?

that toung eating parasite is extremely common when fishing aye
i remember about 2-3 years ago i went fishing in tasmania for bream
and every single one i caught had that large white parasite in there mouths

also that worm looks very similar to a beach worm, the ones you draw out of the
sand with fish meat, here we use them for bait when we go fishing
